Return to Cloudchaser Shaconage's Den

This page is to display the furry convention photos that I've taken.  I'm not usually a photographer.  I don't even consider it a hobby or interest and it's not very often that I photograph something. But when I to, I try to do a good job of it.

Please also see

where you can see literally thousands of furry con photos, including the photos seen here, which Slyfox was kind enough to include in his very large archive :-)

All photos are copyright Cloudchaser Shaconage (myself).  If you want to use any of them in any way, please e-mail me and ask me first :-)  Thanx!

ANTHROCON 2002

Historic marker at the Philadelphia Zoo about the zoo, America's first zoo.

Chik'ki in the Philly Zoo gift shop holding a big lion plush

Real lion at the Philly Zoo (Chik'ki didn't try to hug that one)

Lioness at the Philly Zoo

Leopard at the Philly Zoo

Tiger at the Philly Zoo

Other tiger at the Philly Zoo

Can't remember the name of this deer like species, but they're actually omnivores. Have been known to stalk and eat small birds and rodents

African Wild Dogs at the Philly Zoo

Louve at the Philly Zoo showing off her African Wild Dog plush. She's as nuts about African Wild Dogs as she is about wolves, which is why she calls herself "The Painted Wolfess," a wolfess with fur coloring like that of a African Wild Dog

Two fursuiters playing twister (Minnie wins)

Female fur in a very well done Broadway CATS type fursuit (name unknown)

Same CATS fursuit

Female fur in a also very well done cheetah fursuit based on Brittney from Fred Perry's Gold Digger comic. She even had yellow with black leopard spots dyed into her natural headfur.

Same cheetah fursuit

Louve in the dealer's den, showing off her African Wild Dog morph plush

Two representatives, one human and one K9, of Canine Partners for Life, an organization that trains dogs for assisting handicapped humans. They were the beneficiaries of this year's charity auction, which raised over $12,000

Another cannine representative of C.P.F.L. That little American Eskimo (fully grown) was too cute to not photograph :-)

Inventor and one of the founding fathers of the United States, Benjamin Franklin, making an appearence in the dealer's room. This year's con theme was inventions and Ben is from Philly.

Several fursuits, Yappy Slyfox on far right, others unknown.

Lutalo, an *excellent* African Wild Dog fursuit that cost $6,000. Arguably the best fursuit at the con. Of course, Louve, a.k.a. "The Painted Wolfess" (wolf with wild dog coloring) went nuts for him :-)

Unknown leopard fursuit and Holly Reinhart in a geisha girl vixen fursuit

Loopy (wolf) fursuit

Camstone Fox fursuit

Lance Ilkegawa's John Talbain (werewolf) fursuit. Within seconds after he walked out, there were about 40 to 50 others besides me taking photos.

John Talbain fursuit

Big Bad Wolf fursuit. Check out his fursuit making site on furnation.com. Has several photos of fursuits he's made and accepts comissions to build fursuits

If you can't move fast, don't be at the head of the line to get into the dealer's room when it opens! You'll get trampled!

Myself, as I appeared the whole weekend

Rhea (beautiful leopard girl)

Louve and Chik'ki posing with one lion fursuit and one tiger fursuit (both unknown)

Jugular Jaguar and Javu (fursuits) in "The I missed the fursuit parade parade"

Louve and Chik'ki, Louve holding up a Sarah Palmer origional of an African Wild Dog that she won in the written art auction. Have you figgered out yet that she's nuts about African Wild Dogs? :-)

As a result of the charity auction total going over $12,000, Anthrocon chairman Kage had to allow his headfur to be shaved into a mohawk.  Jugular Jaguar sporting "The Kage Look"
